Jackie earned her BSA in Business Administration (Summa Cum Laude) from Baker College. Prior to joining the Public Defender’s Office, Jackie was an executive with Girl Scouts for over 22 years. In her role with Girl Scouts, Jackie was part of the leadership team that successfully navigated the merger of several Girl Scout Councils in Michigan.

In addition to working and volunteering with Girl Scouts, Jackie has volunteered for several youth-serving organizations in the past, including Junior Achievement, local schools as a Mock Interviewer, and as the Youth Exchange Officer for her local Rotary Club.

Jackie currently serves as the secretary of the board of Shiawassee Hope, a small non-profit whose mission is to help people in poverty build hope, skills, and motivation for improving their lives.

Jackie and her husband are also co-owners of a coffee shop and deli in their hometown and are proud parents of two and grandparents of three. In addition to spending time with her family, Jackie enjoys cooking and baking, walking, kayaking, boating, and working out at her local gym.
