A Michigan transplant, Jonathan Forman grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area before finding his way to the Midwest to attend Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, from which he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in History and Political Science.
Following his graduation from Northwestern, Jonathan found a permanent home in Michigan while attending the University of Michigan Law School. He graduated cum laude from Michigan Law, at which he also participated in the Juvenile Justice Clinic and the Child Advocacy Law Clinic, both of which were aimed at providing representation for those who could not otherwise afford it.
Upon being admitted to the Michigan State Bar in July 2015, Jonathan completed his legal education by clerking for both the Honorable Joan L. Larsen, then serving on the Michigan Supreme Court, and the Honorable Mark A. Goldsmith, who sits on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan in Detroit. Jonathan is excited to be back living and working in Lansing, though he will never give up his allegiance to his Oakland A’s and his Northwestern Wildcats.
