Mike Taylor is an investigator for the Office of the Public Defender. In the spring of 2005, Mike received an associate's degree from Lansing Community College. That fall, he graduated from the Mid-Michigan Police Academy and began a police career in the spring of 2006.

Mike worked as a police officer for the Leslie Police Department for 11 years. Mike's main focus during that time was advocating for a close police and school relationship along with community policing. Additional experience Mike brings to the Office of the Public Defender is his time spent as a Mental Health Worker with Community Mental Health. He assisted therapists and Psychologists with the evaluation of persons in a mental health crisis.

Mike is excited to use his previous experience to assist an underserved part of our society for a long time.
