Information Technology Administrator

This is an FLSA exempt position, under general direction of the City Manager, serves as the City’s Information Technology Administrator is responsible for maintaining the overall strategic and operational planning, implementation, and direction of the City’s information technology such as central systems/ application development, procurement of system hardware; desktop support; telecommunication management.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree in , business computer systems, Computer Science or related field,
  • Valid Texas Motor Vehicle License
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in a computer management position

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:

  • Extra consideration will be given to applicants who have:
    • Experience working with a city, county, or similar public jurisdiction
    • The ideal candidate should have knowledge working with public safety/public works telecommunications systems, a sizable computer network, cyber security policies and testing, GIS, and experience managing people and budgets.

 SALARY:

  • $60,000 - $80,000 a year

Maintenance Crewman

Under general supervision of the Maintenance Crew Leader or other more experienced worker, the Maintenance Crewman safely and efficiently constructs, maintains, and repairs municipal properties including buildings, alleys, sidewalks, streets, park facilities and utilities; and does related work as required.

 REQUIREMENTS:

  • GED or High School diploma or equivalent knowledge and experience to satisfactorily perform all essential functions of the job;
  • Must have 1-2 yrs. experience with public-works type work
  • Valid TX Drivers’ License. 
  • Must obtain TX -CDL-Class B within 1 yr of hire date.

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:

  • Extra consideration will be given to applicants who have:
    • TX -CDL-Class B
    • Pest Control Certifications
    • HVAC Certifications
    • Any water certifications

 SALARY:

  • $12.00 – $14.00 an hour
